Dear All Interested in Chemical Education,
The Associated Chemistry Teachers of Texas, ACT2, would like to welcome you to our web page. ACT2 is one of the largest Affiliates of the Science Teachers' Association of Texas. It is a statewide organization dedicated to maintaining the highest level of chemical education in Texas. Our mission is to serve all people interested in chemical education in the state. We have over 700 members which includes chemistry teachers from all academic levels, and even a few of our members work in industry or other commercial venues. When you join ACT2, you will receive three newsletters, "the reACT2ant", per year, you will be included on a very active e-mail list in order to keep you abreast of all upcoming events, and you will have opportunities to take advantage of several regional and state conferences. In the summer of odd numbered years we host the ACT2 Biennial conference where many of our members are able to exchange and share ideas regarding the ever-changing field of chemical education. If you are interested in joining ACT2, please download the membership application, fill-in the needed information, and mail it to our Treasurer! If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me. Thank you for your interest in ACT2--the
only organization of its kind in the state of Texas!
