CAST 2012 is right around the corner. We need your support to make CAST an amazing experience for all Texas science teachers, so help us get our geek on in Corpus Christi by volunteering. Participants will receive a t-shirt and the satisfaction of helping put on the largest state science teaching convention in the country.

Welcome to CAST HQ! Whether you're a first-timer or a veteran attendee, CAST 2012: Get Your Geek On is going to be amazing! We listened to your invaluable feedback, and are giving you even more of the things you love about CAST.

We're opening the exhibit hall Thursday morning (more time to claim your swag!), adding 100 more workshops with more content- and grade-specific areas, and increasing the number of JAM sessions. And as always, your registration includes access to over 750 TEKS-aligned workshops tailored to fit your specific subject and grade level.

This year brings a wealth of educational and entertaining talks, trips and events. Our keynote speaker is architecture expert Danny Forster, host of the Science Channel program Build It Bigger. Grab some popcorn for the free screening of The Revisionaries, an eye-opening look at the debate over science standards in Texas schools. Hold your Bunsen burners aloft to the full-sensory rock experience of The Great Planet Earth Debate, performing their educational opus for all attendees. Or join one of our handpicked field trips, with unforgettable experiences like kayaking, an outing to USS Lexington Museum on the Bay, and much more.

And we’ve got one more thing to set your seismographs shaking... register between today and September 30 and take advantage of the Early Bird Rate: only $120 for all three days! Click here to register.

CAST is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Texas science teachers and administrators to pursue continuing education in a fun, enriching environment. So strap on those suspenders, pick your favorite plaid pocket protector and prepare to get geeky with your fellow science enthusiasts.
