Students work in teams to research a specific family of dinosaurs. This project prompts the students to do in-depth research as they work together. The worksheet/info page is very helpful for teachers and students in planning and organizing student responsibilities. They can then present to the entire class

Tips

• Have the students develop a worksheet on their dinosaur family for other students in the class.

• Check out the fossils in the Dino Pit at the Austin Nature and Science Center. This helps students focus on the prehistoric animals they will uncover. You can expand this to include other prehistoric animals, not just dinosaurs.
