Pond "If" Game Essay and Research

Time: Two 50-minute class periods

Follow up activity from the Pond “If” Game done at the Austin Nature and Science Center. Ask students to brainstorm and record a hypothesis in an essay format. Then assign one question per student to research on-line or in the school library. Students can give short presentations over their research. Use the information presented to begin discussions on the “What If…” questions.
