McKinney Roughs Stories
Time: Two 50-minute class periods

Students are assigned (or choose) specific TEKS before the field trip. They then write and present a lesson on this objective based on their trip to McKinney Roughs. This approach can be used to assist students in maintaining their focus during the field trip.
Modification: Students can design a board game of McKinney Roughs that teaches a specific TEK.
Modification: If teachers and students have access to a digital camera, pictures can also be taken to incorporate into their lesson. They can create a PowerPoint presentation to present to the class.
