The Science Teachers Association of Texas, STAT, is a statewide organization of elementary through college level science teachers and supervisors and others involved in formal and informal science education dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of science education in Texas schools.

STAT seeks to

serve as a unified voice for Texas science teachers.

inform science teachers and other members of current trends in science education.

provide opportunities for members to examine technology, curricula, resources, and services.

inform members of local, state, and national meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops related to science.

cooperate with other science oriented organizations and teacher associations in the promotion of good science teaching.
